Thunder Rosa wants to fight in the CMLL Mexico Arena

After overcoming an injury, the Mexican AEW fighter is ready for an unprecedented challenge in her career.

Thunder Rosa, Mexican wrestler from AEW (All Elite Wrestling), is ready for an unprecedented challenge in her career: appearing at the Mexico Arena of the World Wrestling Council (CMLL).

Melissa Cervantes was away from the ring for 16 months due to a back injury. She returned on December 23 at the AEW Collision Hollyday Bash in San Antonio, Texas, an iconic venue for the former women’s world champion, who returned with several goals in mind.

“One of my goals as a professional wrestler is to fight in the Mexico Arena for the Council. I feel like we are getting closer to that goal.

“Definitely fighting for the Council is one, it has been one of my goals, dreams that we hope will come true very soon,” she confessed.

Currently, the Chilean Stephanie Vaquer is the CMLL Women’s World Champion. The one born in Tijuana, Baja California demands a fight for that championship.

“If they give the opportunity to win to people who are foreign, why not give them the opportunity to win that opportunity to a Mexican who made her career in the United States. “It is fair,” she assured.

THUNDER ROSA WANTS TO RETURN THE CHAMPIONSHIP IN AEW

Due to her injury, Thunder Rosa had to end her time as AEW Women’s World Champion after 172 days.

Her reign first came after beating Britt Baker to defend him six times. Including wins over Nyla Rose, Serena Deeb, Marina Shafir, Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter and Miyu Yamashita.

“Until someone beats me completely, I’m going to continue saying that they never turned on me or gave up on me, I never lost the championship, I had to leave it due to an injury.

“Let’s hope we are given a chance again because I deserve it. That I be given that opportunity to go for the women’s championship, the one brought by Toni Storm or for the TBS championship, which I have never fought for,” said ‘Mera Mera’.
